Welcome to the LACRE 2025 Conference!

After a long period of virtual meetings, it is a pleasure to meet again in person.

This year, the conference will be held in Santiago de Chile and promises to be an exceptional event, with the participation of internationally recognized experts in medical resident education. Over the course of two days, we will have the collaboration of leading educators from the Royal College of Canada, with whom we will review key topics such as innovation in medical education, CBME, accreditation and the continuous improvement of training programs.

We will explore new teaching methods and competency-based assessment, including the use of simulation to ensure the safety of our patients. In addition, we will address the well-being of health professionals with a preventive approach, analyzing fatigue management and its application to our reality. We will also offer a new perspective on the CanMEDS model, adapting roles to current challenges, and explore the impact of artificial intelligence, diversity, and more.

We extend a special invitation to everyone to share their experiences, whether successful or not, by presenting them as papers during the conference. We also invite those who wish to be part of the program to submit workshop proposals for evaluation (you can consult the guidelines on our website).

We look forward to seeing you on June 5 and 6, 2025. Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of LACRE 2025, where leaders in medical education for residents and other health disciplines from the main Latin American universities will meet. It will be a space to share experiences, face new challenges and plan together the future of medical education in Latin America!

Deadline for submission of papers extended until March 24, 2025
