Chris Watling.

Chris Watling is the Executive Director of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, a position he assumed on July 1, 2024. Previously, he was a Professor in the Departments of Oncology, Clinical Neurological Sciences and Family Medicine at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University of London, Canada; Vice Dean (Acting), Fellowship and Educational Strategy; and the Director of the Schulich Centre for Educational Research and Innovation. A neurologist by clinical training, he holds an MSc in Medical Education from the University of Dundee and a PhD in Health Professions Education from Maastricht University. His research, widely published in the medical education literature, explores how and why feedback influences learning and how the professional culture of medicine shapes its educational practices. He is an avid teacher of academic writing and co-author, with Lorelei Lingard, of a recent book on the topic: Story, Not Study: 30 Brief Lessons to Inspire Health Researchers as Writers.
Dr. Glen Bandiera.

Dr. Bandiera holds degrees in Engineering/Management Science (Waterloo), Medicine (McMaster) and Education (OISE/UT. He is an Emergency Medicine specialist with advanced training in Trauma Resuscitation at McMaster University. For over 10 years he has been Chief of Emergency Medicine at St. Michael’s Hospital, and for the past 7 years, he is also Associate Dean of Postgraduate Medical Education at the University of Toronto, where he is a Full Professor.
His academic interests include the areas of: evaluation, faculty development, and physician leadership; he has published over 100 articles in the area. He has used his expertise to promote leadership capacity, competency assessment and inclusion strategies locally, nationally and internationally.
Dr. Bandiera is the Executive Director of Standards and Assessment for the RCPSC. In addition, he has served as Chair of the RCPSC Accreditation Committee and the RCPSC Emergency Medicine Specialty Committee, President of the Canadian Medical Education Association and founding Director of the Canadian Medical Education Association Foundation.
Linda Snell.

Linda Snell MD MHPE FRCPC is a Professor of Medical and Health Sciences Education at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and a Senior Clinical Educator at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC). She has held numerous clinical and educational leadership roles across all levels of medical education at McGill, the RCPSC, nationally and internationally. She co-authored the CanMEDS 2015 Professional Role and co-edited the CanMEDS 2015 competency framework. With three colleagues, she produces a weekly medical education journal club, the PAPERs (“Practitioners and Academics Analysing Educational Research”) podcast. Clinically, Dr Snell is a consultant in general internal medicine.
Jonas Nordquist.

Dr Nordquist is the Associate Director of Residency Programs at Karolinska University Hospital. He leads strategic educational initiatives such as leadership development for residency directors and residents, and is the Director of the Karolinska Institutet Research Award in Medical Education (KIPRIME) Fellows Program. Dr Nordquist is also a Research Fellow at the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne, Australia, and a Visiting Scholar at the Wilson Center in Toronto, Canada.
He is also the Director of the joint faculty development center with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) in the US and Karolinska University Hospital. He is a co-founder of MedEd on the Edge.
Dr Nordquist is a world-leading expert on the development of learning spaces in medical education. His research focuses on educational leadership and how physical space impacts learning.
He has served as a WHO expert in medical education in the areas of international health professional education curriculum design and sexual and reproductive health. Dr. Nordquist is a Harvard-Macy Scholar in Medical Education at Harvard Medical School.
He is a member of the IMELF steering committee. He is the chair of the RCPSC International Medical Education Awards.
Dr. Susan D. Moffatt-Bruce.

Dr. Susan D. Moffatt-Bruce, MD, FRCSC, PhD, MBA, MBOE, FACS, joined Beth Israel Lahey Health as President of Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in March 2023. Dr. Moffatt-Bruce is responsible for leading Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, a century-old tertiary academic medical center renowned for its clinical model of care, innovative technology, pioneering medical treatments, and cutting-edge research.
Previously, Dr. Moffatt-Bruce was CEO of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the Royal College International, and previously served as CEO of the Ohio State University (OSU) Wexner Medical Center University Hospital. She completed her undergraduate degree at McGill University and the Faculty of Medicine and her General Surgery residency at Dalhousie University. She completed a PhD in Transplant Immunology at the University of Cambridge, England, and completed her fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Stanford University, California. She earned her Master of Business Operational Excellence and Executive Master of Business Administration from the Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University. Rodrigo Cavalcanti is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Toronto and Director of the Internal Medicine Training Program. He is Director of the HoPingKong Centre, University Health Network and a CanMEDS Clinical Faculty at the RCPSC. He completed his PhD and MSc at the University of Toronto. His research interests include: simulation, student competency assessment, and analytics in medical education. He is a recognized educator, with multiple awards including the Meredith Marks New Educator Award from the Canadian Association for Medical Education (CAME) and the Critics Choice Award from the Association for the Study of Medical Education (ASME).

Professor Gómez-Garibello is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Health Sciences Education (IHSE) and an Associate Member of the Department of Surgery at McGill University. His research interests include the development of methods for assessing resident performance in the clinical setting and the measurement of surgical skills and knowledge. Professor Gómez-Garibello is a leader in assessment in postgraduate medical education at McGill University.
ADELE ATKINSON

Dr. Atkinson completed her MD at McMaster University in 1994. She then completed her pediatric residency and fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the University of Toronto in 1998 and 2000.
Dr. Atkinson is currently a Professor of Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics and a Consulting Immunologist/Allergist in the Division of Immunology and Allergy at the Hospital for Sick Children of Canada. Her clinical work focuses on patients with primary immunodeficiencies, bone marrow transplants, and complex allergic diseases, with an emphasis on reactions to foods, drugs, and biologics.
Dr. Atkinson currently holds the position of Associate Chair of Education and previously served as Director of the Core Pediatric residency training program for 17 years. She is a graduate of the Education Scholar’s Program, through the Center for Faculty Development, U of T. She is the recipient of the PARO Best Residency Program (2008), the Dr. Sarita Verma Mentoring and Advocacy Award (2009), the Harry Bain Award for Teaching Excellence (2014), the Department of Pediatrics Continuing Education Award (2018), the Canada Chairs of Pediatrics Clinical Educator Award (2018), the International Conference on Residency Education – Program Director of the Year Award (2019), and the CPS – Michel Weber Education Award (2020). She devotes over 50% of her time to activities related to medical education, and her current efforts focus on an academic approach to improve the learning environment for all students.
She also holds other leadership positions, including Chair of the Pediatric Specialty Committee of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She is a Senior Fellow of Massey College, University of Toronto.
Finally, she is a Clinical Educator at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, specializing in the implementation of competency by design.

A physician and PhD in Internal Medicine with a specialization in Hematology, I am also a Fellow of the FAIMER Brasil Institute and a specialist in Education for Health Professions. I currently work as an Associate Professor at the UFMG School of Medicine and Academic Superintendent at Santa Casa BH School of Health, in addition to working as a Consultant in Health Education. In 2019, I coordinated the development and implementation of the first curriculum based on Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) in the General Surgery Residency of Santa Casa BH Hospital. As a co-founder of the ResLife APP, I developed an innovative tool for the assessment of EPAs both in Residency and Undergraduate courses. I obtained the Certificate of Attendance from the International Online Course Ins and Outs of Entrustable Professional Activities, in 2021. I am also the Editor of the EPAs in Health Education Series, with e-books for Residency, Undergraduate and Technical Education, published by Santa Casa BH School of Health. I am a member of the Clinical Educators group of the Minas Gerais Residency Association-Royal College of Canada and I am the General Coordinator of the EPA-Brazil Project, with support from the National Board of Medical Examiners. I am also a researcher in the international project D-CREDO, which explores digital technologies to improve education in clinical reasoning. Previously, I taught in the Master’s in Health Education at UNIFENAS-BH, in the Specialization Course in Health Education at the USP School of Medicine and in the Master’s in Assessment for the Training of Health Professionals at the University of Minho, in Portugal. I was awarded the 52nd Jabuti Prize for Literature for the book “Laboratory Medicine for the Clinician”.

Dr. Matías González (Chile), MD, PhD, is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the Diego Portales University. He has a long teaching career in other prestigious institutions, also holding positions of responsibility.
Dr. González completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Chile, and his specialization in Psychiatry at the same University. In addition, he was awarded the title of Doctor of Medicine at the University of Barcelona, Spain, where he completed a fellowship in Liaison Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine.
In Chile, he has been one of the promoters of Liaison Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine, with notable achievements such as the creation of the first Subspecialization Program in Liaison Psychiatry in Chile, which was approved by a competent body and which currently trains future generations of Liaison Psychiatrists in Chile. It is worth mentioning that it is the first Subspecialization Program in Liaison Psychiatry at the national level and one of the first in the region. He also promoted the development by the Chilean Ministry of Health of a project for the creation of new Liaison Psychiatry Units in the Chilean public service, launching a pilot Unit in the Los Lagos region, Chile. Dr. González has worked on numerous clinical research projects in his field, where his publications in Delirium stand out, achieving important distinctions such as the Beltrán Baguena Award, granted to the Spanish Society of Geriatrics and Gerontology 2013 for the best clinical publication of the year.
In the area of Medical Education, he has produced numerous publications, in addition to being Deputy Director of Postgraduate Studies at the UC School of Medicine and Director of the Master’s Degree in Medical Education and Health Sciences at the same institution.
